RIDE FOR REFUGE
The Ride for Refuge is a family-friendly cycling or walking fundraiser that helps charities and their supporters raise money to serve displaced, vulnerable, and exploited people around the world.
HART has worked to alleviate poverty and injustice in Eastern Europe for the past 20 years. The war in Eastern Ukraine has caused so much pain and sorrow, and has created 1.5 million refugees from the conflict. Many families and the elderly continue to live in war zones simply because they have nowhere to go. Most are without food, water and medical care.
Every fall HART participates in the Ride for Refuge. Our goal is to raise money to help these refugees with the basic necessities of life and medical assistance. We are outfitting mobile medical-dental clinics that will serve displaced people and those stuck in war zones.
