My name is Arthur and I am seven years old. I live in the village of Rokytnе. I do not have parents – my mother passed away and I don`t know anything about my father. I have a sister and three brothers. My best friend is my neighbor Oleh who understands me and who I play games with.
At Christmas, I like to sing songs about Jesus`s birth. On the summer holidays, I love playing soccer with my friend. My favorite food is cake and various kinds of sweets.
My dream is to become a bus driver when I grow up. I don`t have many friends, so I am happy that somebody is interested in me. I will be very grateful to my sponsor if they pay attention to me and become my friend. Dear sponsor, I will also be delighted to receive a letter from you which I am looking forward to.
Case-worker`s comments 2021
Arthur is a calm, sensitive, cheerful and friendly boy. He comes from a low-income family. Arthur lives with his relative who became his guardian after his mother passed away in 2016. His father abuses alcohol and does not care about him at all. There are five kids in the family, three of which (the older kids) live with their grandma. Two younger boys Arthur and Oleksandr who is eleven years old are taken care of by their relative Ludmyla who is their guardian. This family is in poor condition. The child allowances the family receives are not enough to meet their needs, especially medical treatment and medicines – since Arthur has serious health issues.
The family lives in a two-room house and the living conditions of the family are poor. There is no water supply system. God loves and takes care of them thru the food packages and visits from caseworker. Other siblings live with the grandmother. A sister is also in the Sponsorship program to help with their needs. Arthur is so young to have lost his mother to cancer, have a father who provides no support and know his sister is living in poverty with their grandmother. As a sponsor you will be part of this family and help them on the journey of hope for a brighter future.
