Dear sponsor,

My name is Olha, and I’m 13 years old. I live in a village. My dad isn’t around, and I don’t know where he is. I live with my mom, my stepdad, and my four siblings. My mom doesn’t have a job because she’s taking care of my little sister. My sister can be really naughty and picky sometimes. My best friends are my mom and Ivanka. We get along great, and we met while playing Roblox because I love video games. Christmas is fun because I like messing around. In the summer, I like spending time outside and going for walks. I’m in the 6th grade, and I study math, but my favorite subject is PE. I love sweets, and I’m not too picky about food, so I eat whatever we have at home. When I’m not busy, I usually go for a walk. One day, I want to be a makeup artist.

Thank you so much, and please pray for my family.

Olha

Caseworker’s Comments:

Olha is an incredibly courageous and energetic young girl, known for her bold character and honesty. She speaks her mind with a unique straightforwardness that makes her stand out. Wherever she goes, she easily makes friends and is always eager to learn and explore new things. At home, Olha is a pillar of strength for her mother, constantly helping with cooking, washing dishes, doing laundry, and caring for her younger sister. She is truly her mother’s rock, always there to lend a helping hand.

Olha has a deep passion for drawing and creating beautiful embroidery with beads. In school, she shines in math, loves reading, and has a special interest in learning about the history of Ukraine. Her bright future is filled with potential, but her family is currently in great need of support through HART.

The family doesn’t have a home of their own and often moves from place to place. They are currently living in a rented house, but the conditions are far from ideal. The house has no water supply, the gas has been cut off, and it’s heated with wood. The house is old and small, with only two rooms and a kitchen, but it’s covered in mold, which is harming the children’s health. The air inside is musty, and there’s an unpleasant smell due to the lack of cleanliness. The landlord is pressuring them to leave, which adds to the family’s stress and instability.

Olha’s mother has faced many challenges in her life. She grew up in a boarding school, never knowing the love of her own parents. This has led her to seek love and security in relationships with men, but unfortunately, they have taken advantage of her and left her with children to raise on her own. Now, she is a mother of four, with a fifth child on the way. The children’s fathers are absent, providing no emotional or financial support, leaving the family struggling to get by.

Despite the hardships, Olha’s mother tries her best, but her group 3 disability makes it difficult for her to maintain a clean and healthy environment. The children, despite their tough circumstances, are well-behaved and do what they can to help their mother with household chores. The older children take the bus to school, while the younger ones stay home, often going hungry because there’s not enough food to go around.

The situation is heartbreaking. These children deserve a better life, one where they don’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from or where they will live next. They need to know that God cares for them and their family, even in the toughest times. By meeting with them, praying together, sharing the Gospel, and inviting them to study the Word of God with other young people, we can help show them a way out of their difficult situation. We are praying that God will provide a sponsor to support this family. The children often ask where their fathers are and why they don’t visit, but their mother has no answers. These children need the stability and love that only God, and a caring community can provide. Let’s come together to help this family and guide them toward a brighter future filled with hope and faith. Thank you for choosing to support Olha and her family.
