Dear Sponsor,

My name is Anastasiia, and I am 9 years old. I am in the 4th grade. I live with my mom and my family. I have an older brother, Volodymyr, who is in his first year at the lyceum, and an older sister who loves God very much and goes to the House of Prayer. She is a good example for me, and she helps me a lot. My dad passed away when I was very little, so my mom takes care of us by herself. She doesn’t work, but she always gives us love and cares for us the best she can.

We have two cats at home, and I love them so much. They make me feel calm when I’m sad or worried. I am a sensitive person, and sometimes I cry, but I have a kind heart and love being close to my family. I try to help my mom at home. I help with cooking, wash the dishes, and clean the house because I want to be helpful and make her happy.

My family goes to church in our village of Borynia. Church is very important to us. It is where we pray, get support, and learn to be kind and not give up when life is hard. I dream of growing up with love, peace, and faith in my heart. It is very important for me to feel supported and to know that I am not alone—that there are people who care about me.

Thank you for your kind heart.

With love,

Anastasiia

Caseworker Comments:

Anastasiia is a bright and tender‑hearted 4th‑grade student. She is a wonderful young girl who loves art and music, and she enjoys expressing herself through creativity. At home, she gladly helps her mother by cleaning, washing dishes, and assisting with cooking. In her free time, she loves spending time with her friends. Anastasiia is naturally very sensitive and emotional—she worries easily and sometimes feels sad, but she has a gentle spirit, a sincere heart, and a deep love for her family.

Anastasiia lives with her mother and brother in a small village. Her father passed away when she was very young, leaving her mother to raise the children alone. Although the family receives a small government allowance due to the loss of their breadwinner, it amounts to only about 83 USD per month for three children—far from enough to meet even their basic needs. Job opportunities in their village are extremely limited, leaving Anastasiia’s mother currently unemployed and struggling to provide for her family.

The family’s two older children study at a lyceum, while Anastasiia attends the local school. Their mother works tirelessly to support their education and to give them stability, love, and Christian values. They also have an older sister who is now married and has her own family. Despite the hardships, their mother remains devoted, keeping the home in order and raising her children with faith, prayer, and hope.

The family lives in a small house owned by relatives who kindly allow them to stay there free of charge. The home consists of one room, a kitchen, a corridor, and a storage area. There is no running water, so the family must carry water from a well in buckets. The toilet is located outside, which is especially difficult during the cold winter months. Heating is provided by a stove, making it challenging to keep the house warm. The home has not been renovated in many years and is in need of repairs, yet Anastasiia’s mother works hard to maintain cleanliness and create a sense of comfort for her children despite the deplorable living conditions.

In the midst of these challenges, the family continues to trust God. They attend church faithfully, finding strength, encouragement, and community in their faith. Anastasiia is growing up learning to rely on the Lord, to be kind, and to hold onto hope even when life feels heavy.

Because of the family’s financial struggles, the loss of their father, the deplorable living conditions, and the need for support in Anastasiia’s education and development, this family is in genuine need of help. Sponsorship through the HART Child Sponsorship Program would be a tremendous blessing—providing stability, educational support, and improved living conditions for Anastasiia, while also lifting a great burden from her mother.

Your support could be an answer to prayer for this family. It would remind Anastasiia that she is not alone, that God sees her, and that there are people who care deeply about her future.
