**ANHELINA REQUIRES BOTH REGULAR AND MEDICAL SPONSORSHIP**

Dear Sponsor,

Hello, my name is Anhelina. I am seven years old. I live in a village. My dad is a builder, and my mom is at home with the baby. I have two sisters, Anastasiia and Amina, and I love them very much. I also have a best friend named Valeriia. We grew up together, and we like riding our bikes and scooters.

At Christmas, I like to sing carols. In the summer, I like to swim in the pond, ride my bike, and go fishing with my dad. I am in second grade. I walk to school, and we study until lunchtime. I like playing with my classmates at recess. I am learning to write, read, and count. My favourite subject is physical education.

I love candies and treats, and I really love my mom’s borscht. On holidays, my mom buys cake and candies. In my free time, I like to draw. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher for kindergarten.

Dear sponsor, thank you from me, Anhelina, and from the whole family.

(My mom is writing this because I am still learning to write.)

Caseworker Comments:

Anhelina is a gentle and kind‑hearted seven‑year‑old girl whose calm and friendly nature leaves a lasting impression on everyone who meets her. She is a second‑grade student who enjoys reading, drawing, and studying math. In her free time, she loves riding her scooter, creating arts and crafts, and helping her mother by putting away her toys and making her bed. Despite her young age, she carries herself with sincerity, affection, and a quiet strength that reflects her tender spirit.

Behind her warm smile, however, lies a difficult medical journey. Since early childhood, Anhelina suffers from chronic kidney inflammation and recurring kidney stones. She has already undergone two surgeries to crush the stones, yet the condition continues to return. Every three to four months, her mother must take her to the hospital for scheduled treatments, often staying for extended periods. Recently, doctors discovered new stones once again, and another surgery has been recommended. Through all of this, Anhelina remains patient, trusting, and remarkably brave. She rarely complains and simply holds her mother’s hand, believing that God will help her through each challenge.

Anhelina lives with her parents and two sisters: Anastasiia, who is in the third grade, and Amina, who is two and a half years old. Their mother, Oksana, is currently on maternity leave and devotes herself entirely to caring for the children. Their father, Hryhorii, works as a manual laborer on a construction crew, doing everything he can to provide for the family. Their total monthly income, consisting of his salary and state child benefits, is approximately 20,000 UAH (about $465). For a family of five, especially with ongoing medical expenses, this amount is far from sufficient.

The family lives in an old house that is in urgent need of repairs and insulation. The walls suffer from severe dampness, which negatively affects the children’s health. The hallway is unheated, and the toilet is located outside, creating significant hardship, particularly during the harsh Ukrainian winters. Over the past five years, the family has managed to replace the old windows, but due to financial difficulties, they cannot afford to insulate the home or make the necessary improvements to create a safe and healthy living environment. They have no grandparents to rely on for support. When Oksana is in the hospital with Anhelina and Hryhorii is away working, an elderly neighbor kindly watches the other children.

Despite these hardships, the family remains sincere, united, and deeply rooted in their Christian faith. They consistently bring their children to church activities, including the day center, Sunday school, additional lessons, and holiday events. Their faith sustains them, and they continue to trust that God sees their struggles and will provide for their needs.

The family is in urgent need of sponsorship support. Between Anhelina’s serious medical condition, the family’s financial difficulties, and the ongoing impact of the war in Ukraine, it has become extremely challenging for the parents to meet even their children’s most basic needs. Sponsorship would be a tremendous blessing. It would help ensure that Anhelina receives the medical care she urgently requires, improve the family’s living conditions, and give this little girl the chance to experience a safe, stable, and healthy childhood.

Your support could make a profound difference in Anhelina’s life. It would not only provide practical help but also offer hope, encouragement, and the reassurance that someone cares for her and believes in her future.
