Dear sponsor,

My name is Emiliia, and I am four years old. I live in a village with my parents, Oleksii and Olesia, and my baby brother Orest, who is seven months old. I also have older siblings; Tymofii, Rostyslav, Uliana, and my closest friend, my brother Yehor. He and I go to kindergarten together, where we play, draw, and learn. My best friend there is Stella; we love riding sleds in winter and bikes in summer.

At Christmas, we visited our grandparents. My brothers and I went caroling and received sweets and fruit, while Grandma and Mom cooked delicious meals. We all sat together, sharing stories.

Mom always makes tasty food for us. My favorites are borscht, varenyky, holubtsi, and milk porridge. In my free time, I help Mom and play with my baby brother. When I grow up, I want to be a doctor and help people.

Thank you sincerely for supporting me and my family. Your care means so much during this difficult time.

With respect, Emiliia and the Chebotariov family

Caseworker’s Comments:

Emiliia is a gentle, kind, and friendly four‑year‑old girl who brings warmth to everyone around her. She attends kindergarten, enjoys drawing, and loves spending time with her brothers and sisters. Growing up in a large family, she has learned the values of cooperation, gratitude, and responsibility. She helps tidy her toys, has a calm and caring nature, and gets along well with other children.

The family is loving, close‑knit, and always open to communication. The older children attend school, a church‑based day center, and summer camps. Both parents are active in their church community; the mother regularly attends women’s meetings, and the parents participate in church events whenever possible. Their home is built on Christian values, mutual support, and a sincere desire to raise their children with love and integrity.

Despite their strong family values, they face significant financial hardship. Their total monthly income is below average for eight people. The mother is on maternity leave and receives state assistance, while the father earns very low income at his job. They receive no additional social benefits, and their small household economy consists only of a few chickens. After covering groceries, utilities, medication, seasonal clothing, and school needs, very little remains for anything else.

The family lives in a rural village and is raising six young children. Their home requires major repairs. Several rooms suffer from dampness due to poor insulation, and the house urgently needs to be insulated to prevent further damage. The corridor requires renovation, and the floors need new covering. One part of the home is heated with gas and the other with firewood, which creates a heavy financial burden, especially during the winter months. The toilet is located outside, which is particularly difficult for a family with small children. Despite these challenges, the parents work tirelessly to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

Daily expenses continue to rise due to the war, making it increasingly difficult for the family to afford food, clothing, utilities, and basic necessities. Providing six children with proper nutrition, educational materials, and stable living conditions is an overwhelming challenge for a low‑income rural family.

Sponsorship would provide meaningful and life‑changing support for Emiliia and her family. It would help improve the children’s nutrition, ensure they have appropriate clothing and school supplies, and ease the financial strain on the parents. Most importantly, it would offer stability, dignity, and hope during an extremely difficult period of their lives.

The family is sincerely grateful for any assistance. Your support would not only help Emiliia grow and thrive but would also strengthen an entire family striving to raise their children with love, faith, and resilience.
