Dear Sponsor,
My name is Tetiana, but everyone at home calls me Tanyusha or Tanya. I am 5 years old and live in a small town.
My father works hard doing electrical jobs whenever he can to support our big family. My mother stays home with us, helping my older sister and brother with school and taking care of all the housework. I love my siblings very much. They go to athletics training after school, and I hope to join them when I’m older because I love to run. My best friend is Yana, who lives nearby. In the summer we play with dolls or at the playground. I invited her to our Christian children’s club at church, and now we go together.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. We go to church, and I enjoy the children’s program and the gifts. My mom cooks delicious food — mashed potatoes, baked chicken, salad, and something sweet. I love candies, milk porridge, and spaghetti with sausages.
I go to kindergarten, but I don’t like nap time because it’s so long. At home, I play with dolls, watch cartoons, and ask my mom to read fairy tales. When I grow up, I think I want to be a kindergarten teacher.
Dear Sponsor, thank you so much for wanting to help me and my family. I would be very happy to get to know you and see your photos. I wish you all the best.
With love,
Tetiana
Caseworker’s Comments:
Tetiana is a cheerful, active, and very communicative little girl. She loves playing with dolls, sculpting with playdough, and spending time with her family and friends. Although her overall health is satisfactory, she—like her older brother and sister—often struggles with respiratory illnesses, which creates ongoing medical and preventive expenses for the family.
Tetiana’s parents work hard to raise their children in an atmosphere of love, stability, and strong Christian values. Her mother, Zhanna, is originally from Belarus and faces language barriers that limit her ability to work outside the home. She devotes herself to caring for the children and serves faithfully in their church, helping with ministries for children, teens, and women. Tetiana’s father, Ihor, is an electrician by profession but currently does not have permanent employment because he serves as the pastor of their local church. He carries a significant spiritual responsibility—leading Bible groups, organizing seminars and camps, and assisting at a rehabilitation center for people battling addictions. Because of his ministry commitments and the irregular nature of side jobs, the family does not have a stable or sufficient income.
Despite their financial hardships, the home is filled with warmth, kindness, and mutual support. The older siblings lovingly help care for Tetiana, and the parents work hard to teach their children respect, responsibility, and trust in God. Still, their financial situation remains extremely strained. Their income barely covers basic needs such as food, clothing, utilities, and medicine. Tetiana’s mother worries deeply about how this instability affects the children’s emotional well‑being and has been praying for God’s provision. When she learned about HART, she reached out in faith.
At the beginning of the full‑scale war, the family had the opportunity to leave Ukraine, but they chose to stay so they could continue serving their church and community. Their local congregation supports them as much as possible, but its resources are limited and cannot meet the needs of a family of this size.
Tetiana’s participation in HART’s Child Sponsorship Program would be a tremendous blessing and a clear answer to prayer. Your support would help improve the family’s living conditions, ease the financial and emotional burden on the parents, and provide Tetiana with the stability, care, and opportunities every child deserves. Given their difficult circumstances, unstable income, and the parents’ faithful service to others, the family is truly in need of your support.
