PURPOSE:
The project’s purpose is to provide Child Sponsors with HART the opportunity to get together for a couple of hours for fellowship, refreshments and packaging a Christmas box for their sponsored child (children) in Ukraine/Moldova.
WHY IS THIS PROJECT IMPORTANT?
We cannot underestimate the positive impact this may have on a child. The fact that someone from the other side of the world cares enough about them to send a gift, will give them immeasurable encouragement and HOPE.
For the local churches and caseworkers who distribute them, these gift boxes are like a “key” that opens the door to further connect with children and their families, to develop relationships and share about God’s love for them.

ADDITIONAL IDEAS FOR YOUR ‘GIFT BOX OF HOPE”
Hint: Children can always “grow into” their gifts and are often excited to receive items that they perceive as more grown up. For example, if you choose to pack a box for a boy in the 9-12 year old range, look for gift ideas that are most appropriate for a 12 year old boy, including clothes.
