Dear Sponsor,

My name is Olha, I’m 9 years old. My father is Oleksandr, and my mother is Anna. My brother is Makar, he’s 6, and my sister is Yulia, she’s 1,7. My brother’s very curious and agile. My best friend is Rehina. When I feel a bit down, my friend is always there for me, she makes me laugh. I like spending time with friends and helping my mother. I’m in grade 3. I’m eager in gymnastics. I dream of becoming a seller in the future. I like eating what my mom prepares for us. I want all children in the entire world to remain in good health and never fall ill.  I’m so thankful to those helping others!

Caseworker’s comments:

Meet Olha. She’s a wonderful girl—kind, calm, and always with a smile. Olha loves Physical Education and ART class at school, but academic subjects are a struggle. She’d rather help her parents and look after her younger siblings than sit in a classroom. But life hasn’t been easy for her and her family. They live in a small village, without a home of their own. Olha’s parents grew up in an orphanage, without the love and guidance every child deserves. They work hard—her father does odd jobs, and her mother cares for the children. But it’s never enough.

Her family’s living situation is rough. They stay in a relative’s house, but it’s in horrific and terrible conditions. The walls are worn, the furniture is old, the kitchen is outside the home, they have to fetch water from a well that is nearby and there’s not enough space. Olha’s mom tries her best, but she wasn’t taught how to run a household. They rely on support from others just to get by.

Despite the challenges, there’s hope. We meet with them regularly, offering prayers and support. But they need more than words—they need practical help. The house needs repairs inside and out, and basic necessities like food, clothes, and medicine are in short supply. Olha’s father struggles to find work, and her mother can’t return to her job because of childcare needs. It’s a tough situation made even harder by the lack of opportunities in their village.

But through it all, they remain a tight-knit family, helping each other as best they can. They deserve a chance for a better life, and with a little support, they can have it. That’s why we’re reaching out for sponsors who can lend a hand. Together, we can bring light and hope to their hearts.
