These are the silent victims of conflict: little ones who have known nothing but fear, disruption, and loss during the most formative years of their lives.
Many of these young children suffer from deep trauma and developmental delays. Some struggle with speech, such as stuttering, whispering, or being unable to speak at all.
Others show signs of severe anxiety, emotional withdrawal, or delays in basic learning. Living under the constant threat of violence has robbed them of the safety and stability needed for healthy development.
That’s why sending them to faith-based trauma healing camps, far from the sounds of sirens and shelling, is so vital. These camps offer more than just fun and games – they provide a safe, nurturing environment where healing can begin.
Surrounded by loving staff, Christian counselors, and other children, they are given the space to laugh, play, and learn again.
Here, in these peaceful places, they are reminded: “you are safe, you are loved, and you are not forgotten.” Through therapeutic activities, prayer, music, art, and simple expressions of kindness, God’s healing touch begins to mend what war tried to destroy.
