Indeed – He Has Risen!
In the mid-1990s, during one of my first trips to Ukraine, I found myself there over an Easter weekend. I recall being deeply moved by the unique and beautiful greetings exchanged during this season.
Wherever I went—whether in busy towns, cities, or remote villages in the Carpathian Mountains—it appeared that everyone greeted each other with the same words: “Christ has risen.” And the proper response was: “Indeed, He has risen.” There is something profoundly beautiful about that exchange—simple words, spoken again and again, yet carrying the full weight of the Christian faith.
In Ukrainian, “Christ has risen” (Khrystos voskres!) is not just a greeting. It is a declaration. And the enthusiastic response—“Indeed He has risen” (Voistynu voskres!)—is not just polite acknowledgment. It is agreement, affirmation, and shared belief.
What struck me on that first trip is exactly what makes it so powerful: this is theology spoken in everyday life. On the street. In villages. Between strangers. It’s as if, for a season, the entire country is united around one central truth-the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The defining moment of Christianity.
- It proclaims that death did not win
- It declares that sin does not have the final word
- It affirms that hope is alive
Why it matters—especially in Ukraine
In a nation shaped by suffering, loss, and uncertainty, these words take on a deeper, more powerful meaning. They are not spoken lightly—they are spoken with conviction.
In the face of war — Christ has risen.
In the midst of grief — Christ has risen.
In the presence of fear — Christ has risen.
It is a bold declaration that while darkness is real, it does not have the final word.
What if we lived this way?
What if the central truth of our faith wasn’t just something we believed quietly—but something we spoke boldly, naturally, daily?
Christ has risen – Indeed, He has risen!
In those simple words lives the very heartbeat of the Gospel—the reason we keep moving forward, keep giving, and keep believing that even in the darkest places, resurrection power is still at work.

Thank you for standing with Ukraine.

HOW YOU HELPED
Your support helped build a house & a life.
A Letter of Gratitude from Bohdan and Yana.
“Dear HART friends — you are truly the people who carry the burdens of others. This is our story of loss, faith, and the incredible blessing of your generosity.”

HOW YOU HELPED
A Letter of Gratitude from the Maksimov family
Two months ago, we introduced our HART community to Pastor Oleksandr and his wife, who are lovingly raising four foster children alongside their own four.
Because of your generosity, we outfitted each child with warm winter clothing—and now, you’ve gone even further by providing a van for the family.
Thank you for standing with this remarkable family and surrounding them with such care and support.

Back Pack Project – UPDATE
Thank you for your support, HART community!
Your support for this new initiative has been amazing. Over 600 backpacks have now been purchased! Less than 400 more to go!
Through one simple act of generosity, you can help Ukrainian children face frightening nights in bomb shelters with greater safety, comfort, and hope.

30th Anniversary Congratulations
We have already begun receiving heartfelt congratulations from ministries, pastors, and friends across Ukraine, and we look forward to sharing some of these with you throughout the year. Each message is a reflection of what YOUR faithful support has made possible. Your commitment over the years has not only sustained HART’s work—it has helped shape lives, strengthen churches, and bring hope where it is needed most.
Dear HART team and friends of the HART Mission.
On behalf of our church, I would like to sincerely congratulate you on your 30th anniversary.
Although the mission has helped us on certain occasions in the past, the ongoing partnership between HART and UBC began three years ago. So, in a sense, we are a “tithe” of your ministry! I truly appreciate that the Lord has placed it on your hearts to invest this part of Yourselves in spreading God’s Kingdom through us.
For a person, 30 years mark the beginning of a meaningful life journey; however, for a Christian organization, it reflects a road already well-traveled. At 30, a person is still discovering their direction—but an organization can look back and see the legacy it has already built. A person at 30 may be raising young children, while an organization at 30 can see its fruits growing into trees.
My wish for you: to enjoy the fruits of God’s work through you. And continue to bear much fruit yourselves. Not only to reflect on your legacy in the past tense, but also to have a bold vision for Multiplication in the future. The best is yet to come!

UKRAINE UPDATE

Anti-Drone roads
As of February 2026, Ukraine is actively installing anti-drone nets – repurposed fishing or industrial mesh – along thousands of kilometers of roads in southern and eastern Ukraine to protect military and civilian vehicles from drones. Their plan is to install up to 4,000 km of anti-drone nets along roads near the front lines by the end of 2026.

It’s been a good week for Ukraine
1. Ukraine is destroying Russia’s Baltic ports as Zelenskyy targets Putin’s oil exports.
Ukraine’s most recent long-range attacks on Russia’s Baltic ports, have reportedly reduced Russia’s oil export capacity by at least 40 percent.
2. Zelenskyy’s Gulf region tour was a masterclass in wartime diplomacy.
Signing ten-year defense partnership agreements with three leading Gulf states is a significant outcome for Ukraine. However, the positive optics that surrounded Zelenskyy’s recent regional tour may have been even more important for the country.

Pray Together with Your Church, Family, and Friends for:

- The safe return of kidnapped children & healing for broken families.
- Comfort for the grieving & restoration for the wounded.
- Protection of cities, villages, and civilians from relentless attacks.
- Global perseverance in standing with Ukraine during this long struggle.
- Wisdom and courage for world leaders as they confront tyranny.
