Ukraine at War – Update 12, 2025

On June 13, 2025, HART will be hosting a special fundraising event in Calgary, Alberta, and we’d love for you to be part of it – even if you can’t attend. This evening will support two critically important HART programs.

1. Sending thousands of Ukrainian children to summer camps.

After three years of relentless bombing, displacement, and the constant fear of air raids, the emotional toll on Ukrainian children is immense. These camps offer more than just fun – they provide safety, healing, and hope for traumatized children.

2. Equipping local churches in Ukraine to serve refugee and impoverished families. Across the country, churches are on the front lines, offering food, shelter, and spiritual support to those devastated by war. Your support will help them continue this life-saving work.

Together, we can bring light to some of the darkest places in Ukraine. Will you join us?

Every member of HART’s community across Canada and the U.S. has a unique opportunity to make a real difference. How?

A generous couple from our U.S. HART family has provided two matching gift challenges – each worth $50,000. That means your gift will go twice as far, helping send even more children to life-changing summer camps and bringing critical aid and hope to families devastated by war.

Both matching gift opportunities valid until midnight June 12 (MST)

With deep honesty, he gives voice to the sorrow and suffering, the questions, and the spiritual struggle faced by so many. Yet through the pain, his words suggest that with God’s help, grief can be transformed into a source of meaning, solidarity, and renewed life. READ MORE

This documentary highlights Russia’s targeted persecution of Christians in Ukraine. Christian faith threatens Russian President Vladimir Putin because it stands outside his control. As a result, his war on Ukraine has centered on the systematic persecution of Christians, their families, and their churches. NOTE: The full documentary will be out soon, at which time we hope to share it with our HART Community. WATCH TRAILER HERE

Thank you, HART Community. Your love and compassion for a family with six children living in the basement of their home near the frontlines, is a true life-line. Your support for National pastors & chaplains has impacted countless people throughout this war, from families living in cities to families living in remote areas near the front lines with nowhere else to go. Here is one of these stories told by Pastor/Chaplain Gennady, who you support through HART. READ THIS STORY HERE
